Training hosted by the New York State Office of Homeland Security provides the highest caliber content relevant to your homeland security and preparedness concerns.  The “WMD:  Threat and Risk Assessment” course prepares emergency responder managers and community leaders to conduct comprehensive threat and risk assessment for a WMD incident under the National Response Plan and Presidential Directives.  The course will include lecture, small group discussion, participant activities and multimedia scenarios.

The “Emergency Response to Domestic Biological Incidents” course provides a balanced view of the risks and threats of biological attacks and highlights current strategies to counter the problems.  The class will involve a mixture of classroom discussions and practical exercises.  To participate in this course, it is recommended that you have successfully completed a WMD awareness-level training course and ICS 700.  The AWR 160 class may be completed by going to the following website:  http://teexweb.tamu.edu/teex-third.cfm?area=OGT&templateid=280.
