The call was at 1208 hours - while driving south bound on
route 11, I observed a vehicle headed north bound as it
crossed the center line. The car was headed for me, with
approximately 2 feet between the chiefs vehicle and hers, I
turned the wheel and went right missing her. She then struck
the red Saturn head on. I requested two ALS Ambulances, the
female was transported ALS - V-TAC and Syncope while the

Route 31 sent a women to the hospital. |

Cicero F.D. went Mutual Aid to South
Bay F.D., request for Heavy Rescue. A mother and two boys were injured and
the four-year-old boy is in critical condition after a two
vehicle accident in Cicero. It happened Saturday just before
11 a.m. on South Bay Road and Whiting Road. Both roads were
closed for several hours. Before the accident scene were
processed, another accident at Route 31 and South Bay Road
sent another women to the hospital. |

One person is dead after a accident in Cicero this afternoon
involving a tractor trailer and a pickup truck. Neighbors
along Route 31 near Whiting Road heard the crash around
3:30pm. Police say the driver of a 2003 pickup truck crossed
the median, drifting into the path of a tractor trailer in
the Eastbound lane. |

It is with deep
sadness and regret to inform you that Lieutenant Dave
Nicholas's brother has pass way this past week while in
Florida.
Dave's brothers name was Gregory Shippee
and services will be held this Saturday May 3, 2008, at the
Fergerson Funeral Home located at 215 North Main Street,
North Syracuse.
All members are
to report at Station # 1 at 1030 hours in Full Dress.
Following the calling hours, there will be a gathering at
Station # 1. |

Announcements
Department physicals
will be held on Monday, June 16, commencing at
1800 hours at Station #1. There is a master sign
up sheet at Station #1 and they will take (10)
members every half hour.
We will
also be performing the annual "Fit Testing"
which will commence at 1800 hours. Members must
remember to bring their "SCBA" masks and can
arrive early to complete this task.
Those members not able to attend the physical or
fit testing on this evening will have until
Thursday July 24 to schedule a physical with the
doctors office and fit testing with the Chiefs
office.

Training
I-300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
(Office of Fire Prevention & Control) to be held
at Brewerton Station 1 on May 7, 8, 13, 14, 20,
and 21 @ 1800-2200 hours.
Scene of The Accident
training will be held on September 19, 20,and 21
at Moyers Corners Fire Department. (Friday)
1800-2200, (Saturday & Sunday)0800-1700. The fee
for this course $450 each.
Recreation
If you are interested in playing softball this
year, please contact Ron Florczykowski, Dave
Pangaro, or Jon Barrett. This years season will
start around the second week in May and our home
field will be Cicero Elementary.
In the
next few weeks, the field will be updated to
include raising the pitchers mound, fixing the
batters box and base lines.
